Our Sierra & Silverado Seat Covers
were inspired by OEM fabrics
When we started the company back in 1997, the first fabrics we offered were OEM Automotive fabrics. At that time, we were buying materials from Collins & Aikman, Guilford Mills, Milliken & Co and Kawashima of Japan. These fabrics were sent to GM, Ford and Dodge trim plants with full cut & sew capabilities. They would manufacture the original car or truck seat covers that would later be crated and transported to the vehicle assembly plants and installed onto the seats that will eventually be placed into the vehicles for delivery to new car dealerships.
In 2015, we were evaluating our line-up of materials and realized that the quality of OEM fabrics was changing from traditional woven or cut-woven fabrics to new and more economical printed or embossed velour materials. When we saw the Original Material of the 2015 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Seat Covers, we immediately compared the factory colors to interiors color schemes in the F-150, RAM 1500, Tundra and Titan and it also blended well with Honda, Jeep, KIA and Mazda, so we started planning on securing continuous supply, even after the material would be eventually be changed by about 2023.
