Camrys have always had bucket seats in the front with adjustable headrests. The rear seat has always been a bit more complex because they really focus on comfort. The first generation back seat of Camry had a solid bench seat for the lower trim level but added moulded headrests that were like rectangular camel humps. They later added a fold-down arm rest and then split the backrest into a 60/40 split back configuration. Eventually it evolved into a 60/40 split, 4-piece backrest, where you could fold-down the backrest to access the trunk and still had a left and right fixed piece of the backrest upholstered in the same material as the seat. It just meant that there was no way that a universal could ever fit the back seat properly - Only Custom Toyota Camry seat covers would fit properly and allow for fully functional folding backrests.

When we custom measure Camry seats, we know there's a bit of geometry and engineering that are involved in this process. We usually bring all of the measured info back to the patterning department and refine those measurements to ensure that the test fit demo will fit well. Once the covers are installed, we take notes for very minor modifications. Once the mods are deemed perfect, it goes straight to digitizing the measurements into our design software. This allows all cutting machine operators access to those files. We go through these steps in detail because we want you to have Toyota Camry seat covers that fit like a glove.
